Life at Key School

I knew Joe best when we were classmates in Key School. He was a friendly face and a good student. I may have a photo somewhere of us taken by our teacher, Miss Helen J. King, after acting in a play. I didn't see Joe often after Key School, because I went to a different Jr. High and High School, but when I did come across him accidentally in the neighborhood, he was just as nice as he had been as my classmate. I always remembered him and wanted to be a friend later on, but there was no easy way to locate him until the internet came along. One day, I saw an article mentioning his name and stating that he had purchased a home on Sigel St. That's after Michael Botti (another classmate) told me about seeing Joe at Dunkin Donuts near Broad and Snyder. I finally found a home on Sigel St. owned by Joe, but couldn't find a phone number. Mike Botti was asked to get me the phone number, but as time slipped by, Joe's health worsened and I didn't get the chance to reconnect with him after over 70 years. I'm sorry for his passing and wish that I could attend his service, but my home near Los Angeles is just not convenient. Perhaps, I'll catch up with Joe in the future. May God bless Joe and his family. Ed Taylor
