GLENN FRANCIS; March 21, 2018. Formerly of Newton, MA. Loving son of Norma (nee Iglesias) and the late Armand St. Coeur. Dear brother of Stacy (Seth) Koeppel of Boston, MA and Scott (Kelley) St. Coeur of Boston, MA. Devoted uncle of Cole and Jacob Koeppel and Anna St. Coeur. Dear friend of Garth Weldon. Glenn was a graduate of Newtown North High School in 1981 and subsequently graduated from Georgetown University School of Linguistics in 1985. Following college graduation, Glenn joined the wait staff of La Colline, a French fine-dining restaurant on Capitol Hill. He then took a job as a waiter and later as Maitre d' at The Prime Rib, one of DC’s premier “power-dining” spots, serving Senators, Diplomats and Presidents. In 1998 he came to Philadelphia, opening and managing The Prime Rib on Locust Street. He was widely respected by clients and colleagues in the hospitality community. Glenn was an avid world traveler, pet enthusiast, theatregoer, bicyclist and Words With Friends player. Services and interment for Glenn will be held privately at the request of his family. In lieu of flowers, family requests contributions be made in Glenn's Memory to The Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, c/o Elizabeth Dale, Jefferson Health, 125 S. 9th Street, Suite 600, Philadelphia, PA 19107 or PAWS Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society 2900 Grays Ferry Ave., Philadelphia PA 19106.
