I used to sit with you at the VA. I can't believe you're gone. Thank you for the stories and wisdom and for talking to a youngster like me. I've been searching for you at the VA and today I found out why I hadn't seen you. You went home.
Condolence: I am so sorry for your loss. Al was an amazing man. He was a gifted storyteller and his optimistic view on life was infectious. If you would like to hear a little of his story, you can listen to him tell about his military service and his time as a POW in WWII at the Veteran's History Project at the Library of Congress website here:http://memory.loc.gov/diglib/vhp/bib/loc.natlib.afc2001001.60382
Condolence: So sorry for your loss. Al had a great personality and a good sense of humor. I had some great conversations with him at the kitchen table over a cup of coffee. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Memories and love never die. God give you comfort and peace at this time.
Love,
Kathy Billington
